Special Events at Desert Divers
Through out the year we host special events in Tucson for divers and non-divers alike. From our monthly Meet and Greets at Capriccio's to public Discover Scuba and Snorkeling experiences sponsored by the City of Tucson, Tucson Police Department and the Northwest YMCA.Check the City of Tucson Parks and Recreations schedule for a scuba Demo in your area.This year the YMCA Heathy Kids Day is April 18th, 2009 8:30am-12pm; we will be at the Lohse YMCA downtown. Our SCUBA RANGERS club, made up of aspiring future divers 8-10 years old also do community service as part of their club activities.We also visit local schools to do free presentations on SCUBA diving and marine life around the world.
Now!! Brundog's Zy-De-Que (Cappricio's) Meet and Greet
Desert Divers and Brundog's Zy-De-Que(Formally Cappricios) have teamed up to bring you an evening filled with libations, and all around good times. While enjoying some of the finest Barbeque, Cajun Cuise and beverages that Tucson has to offer, divers are welcome to come share underwater adventure stories, meet other local dive enthusiasts, meet a new dive buddy, and help to stir interest for potentially new divers to keep our favorite sport going strong. That’s right, you don’t have to already be a diver to attend the festivities. If you are even marginally interested in becoming a scuba diver, this event is perfect for you. It will give you the opportunity to hear why so many people enjoy this exciting sport and to see great photographs of some of the fascinating creatures and beautiful dive destinations that lure so many of us beneath the waves. Hang out with Desert Divers staff and fellow divers out of their Wetsuits! Come and enjoy a sampling of menu items from the chef, sit back, relax, and taste an excellent array of wines, micro-brews and top shelf liquors. And don't miss our raffle for t-shirts, hats, gear, specialty classes, and more! Start off your Friday night with our Desert Divers staff and other underwater fans just like yourself. Drink, eat and have a fantastic evening with those who share a similar love of diving.

Desert Divers Annual AQUATIC ADVENTURES PHOTO CONTEST
Desert Divers is teaming up with some of Tucson's best Underwater Photographers to offer the first ever Desert Divers Photo Contest. Underwater Photographers of all ages and skill levels are invited to participate and showcase their diving adventures. We are looking for our customers' favorite photographs of their travels all around the world. We want to exhibit your diving experiences, from encountering the diverse marine life in San Carlos to witnessing the exotic locales of the Caribbean, from braving in the California Kelp Forests to venturing near the Great Whites in South Africa. This contest is about sharing the adventures that we all partake in when entering the underwater world. We want to see those treasured photos that have been ignored and neglected or those that have been hidden away on a computer and only seen as screen savers.
