Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver
Have you ever wondered what you would, or could, do in an emergency situation? Let Desert Divers give you the knowledge and skills to be ready. Dive into the Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver program! The Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver program will refine your ability to identify stress in divers, take preventative action to avert panic in divers and develop your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and recues. You will also learn to manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver program is one of the most challenging and rewarding steps in your growth as a diver. The Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all leadership programs.
Requirements
To get into the Desert Divers Stress & Rescue Diver program, you’ll need to be certified as an Open Water Diver and must be at least 15 years old. The Junior Stress & Rescue Diver program is available if you’re between 12 and 14, hold a Junior Open Water Diver rating, and are diving with an adult certified diver. The Desert Divers' Stress & Rescue Diver course requires two 3-hour classroom sessions, a pool session, and one day of ocean training in San Carlos, Mexico You’ll also need to have successfully completed the Desert Divers React Right - First Aid/CPR program or a sanctioned program in CPR within the past two years. The DAN Oxygen Provider course is also highly recommended in conjunction with this course.
